Who we are
HisaabAI is a business management platform built for Indian retail shops, with a focus on liquor retail and excise compliance. It is operated as a sole proprietorship by Arindom Gogoi, Assam, India. You can reach us at arindomgogoi01@gmail.com.
What we collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Your name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way hash)
- Your shop name, license number, and address
- Business data you enter — inventory, sales, purchases, expenses
We also collect basic usage logs (page visits, errors) to keep the service running and to fix bugs. We do not use cookies for advertising.
How we use your data
- To run your account and provide the HisaabAI features you use
- To generate AI insights — your shop data is sent to Anthropic's API to produce analysis. Anthropic does not train on your data.
- To send you transactional emails (password reset, account alerts) — we do not send marketing emails without your consent
- To fix bugs and improve the product
Third parties we use
Neon (database hosting)
Your data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted by Neon. Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
Anthropic
Powers AI Insights, Smart Indent, and OCR features. Your data is sent to Anthropic only when you trigger an AI feature. Anthropic's privacy policy applies to API usage.
Vercel
Hosts and serves the HisaabAI application. Vercel may log request metadata (IP, timestamps) for security and reliability.
We do not sell your data to any third party. We do not share your shop data with advertisers.
Data isolation
Every shop account is isolated. No other user or shop can see your inventory, sales, or any business records. Staff members you add can only access your own shop's data with the permissions you set.
Your rights
- You can export your data from the Reports section at any time
- You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us
- You can update your shop details and profile from the Settings page
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and notify you by email if you have an active account.
